Matchday Team

Help Run the Game

Match managers create the organized, welcoming environment that turns a scheduled field into a dependable football community.

Section 01

The role

Match managers arrive early, confirm field readiness, help organize teams, communicate updates, keep sessions moving, and escalate safety or venue issues. They are the visible operational point of contact on matchday.

Section 02

Who is a good fit

  • Reliable adults who communicate clearly and arrive on time.
  • People comfortable making fair, calm decisions in a group setting.
  • Community-minded players, coaches, referees, or organizers.
  • No formal refereeing credential is required unless a specific event says otherwise.

Section 03

Responsibilities

  • Review the session roster, format, venue notes, and operational instructions.
  • Coordinate check-in, teams, timing, equipment, and field transitions.
  • Post accurate announcements when field, time, or session details change.
  • Document incidents and contact EFG when support is needed.

Section 04

What happens next

EFG reviews interest based on current event needs. Selected applicants receive an onboarding conversation, role expectations, and access appropriate to their assigned sessions. Submitting interest does not guarantee placement or paid work.
